Brooklyn Brain MRI

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) of the brain evaluates the changes caused by disease. At HealthQuest’s Brooklyn brain MRI facility, we use the reliable AIRIS II MRI scanner. This open imaging diagnostic medical system delivers consistent image quality to ensure fast and accurate diagnosis and treatment as well as a high level of patient comfort.

Open MRI Scan

- Advanced Patient-friendly Imaging

A brain MRI scan produces detailed images of the brain and other cranial structures, and helps the physician determine the presence of certain diseases and disorders. The scanning system uses a powerful magnetic field, radio frequency pulses and a computer to produce high resolution images. The AIRIS II open MRI scanner ensures high quality, thin slice head imaging and ensures the timely detection and diagnosis of conditions such as:

  • Tumors
  • Aneurysms
  • Blood clots
  • Brain injury
  • Stroke
  • Causes of headache and seizures
  • Fluid buildup around or within the brain
  • Hydrocephaly
  • Inflammatory lesions
  • Meningitis
  • Dementia/Alzheimer's disease
  • Developmental anomalies
  • Disorders of pituitary gland
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Disorders of the eye and inner ear

Our open MRI scanning unit is quiet and comfortable. It is ideal for claustrophobic patients as it avoids the discomfort associated with the traditional closed MRI unit. With its 300 lb weight capacity and wide table, the unit can easily support heavy patients.

IAC Accredited Diagnostic Center

HealthQuest’s MRI scan facility is IAC (Intersocietal Accreditation Commission) accredited. Additionally, we have trained and licensed technologists to operate the equipment. They ensure that the scan process in our Brooklyn based facility adheres to all safety guidelines and quality standards.
